GR Engineering Services Limited (GRES) is a leading process engineering consulting and contracting company that specialises in providing high quality engineering design and construction services to the mining and mineral processing industries.

The Opportunity

We are currently seeking an experienced and motivated Piping Coordinator to join our team based in our Ascot Head Office, reporting to the Manager of Projects.

This role is primarily based in the company’s Perth office and will require periodical visits and travel to various projects within Australia.

This is an exciting opportunity to join GRES during a period of significant growth, offering excellent potential for professional development and career progression.

Working within a collaborative Team you will support a range of diverse projects, participating in the day to day organising and management of electrical construction projects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Monitoring piping construction activities and project progress
  • Reviewing project scope, piping specifications and schedules
  • Coordinating interfaces between engineering and construction teams
  • Material take-offs and bulk procurement management
  • Monitoring project manpower, equipment and material requirements
  • Ensuring project compliance with safety, quality and environmental standards
  • Identifying and resolving construction and technical issues
  • Tracking and reporting project performance against cost, schedule and quality objectives

About You

  • Relevant Engineering qualification (Mechanical, Civil, Structural or similar)
  • Experience delivering piping projects within mining or mineral processing environments
  • Strong knowledge of HDPE and steel piping systems, valves and associated components
  • Ability to interpret P&IDs, isometrics and general arrangement drawings
  • Knowledge of current piping design and installation standards
  • Demonstrated problem-solving and project coordination capabilities
  • Current Drivers Licence
  • Current National Police clearance within 3 months
  • Be able to pass a pre-employment medical including drug & alcohol screen
