GR Engineering Services Limited (GRES) specialises in providing high quality engineering design and construction services to the mining and mineral processing industries.  Our services cover all aspects of a project life cycle from the initial evaluation and study phase through to design, constructions, commissioning and operational support.

We are currently seeking Mechanical Engineers to join our growing team at our head office in Ascot, WA.  You will have the opportunity to work both in the design office and on site dedicated to a project making real contributions.

We are looking for motivated and proactive Mechanical Engineers with a desire to increase their technical knowledge and develop their long term career with GRES.  

With over 80 Engineers employed across all disciplines at our Ascot head office we have the in house experience to help you progress your career with GRES.

Key Responsibilities of the role:

  • Produce mechanical engineering deliverables such as data sheets, specifications and calculations
  • Review mechanical drawings, layouts and 3D models in conjunction with the drafting teams
  • Provide technical assistance to our in house construction teams, both from the design office and later based on site
  • Assisting the commissioning team with site inspection reports during the dry, wet and ore commissioning phases
  • Tendering, evaluating, awarding and managing vendor equipment packages including expediting and reviewing vendor documentation
  • Working with civil / structural, electrical and process disciplines in the project team to produce accurate design documents

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering
  • 3-6 years' experience in a similar role
  • Be available for full-time work
  • Be prepared to work in various locations in a FIFO capacity on a 3 and 1 roster as required for commisioning and construction
  • High level of written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong computer skills using Microsoft office suite
  • Australian or New Zealand citizen, or have full working rights at the time of application- No sponsorship opportunites 

Desirable:

  • Design experience with mineral processing plants
  • Experience with detailed mechanical calculations for conveyors, pumps and any other mineral processing systems
  • Site experience in construction and / or commissioning
