GR Engineering Services Limited (GRES) specialises in providing high quality engineering design and construction services to the mining and mineral processing industries.  Our services cover all aspects of a project life cycle from the initial evaluation and study phase through to design, constructions, commissioning and operational support.

We are currently seeking a practical and proactive Trainee Draftsperson to join our growing office team based in Ascot. Reporting to the Drawing Office Manager, you will contribute to the design of mineral process plants and bulk material handling structures. You will have the opportunity to learn from, and be mentored by, a highly experienced multi-disciplined team.  We are ideally looking for candidates with a keen interest in mineral processing to work cross a number of significant projects.

Key Responsibilities of the role:

• Assisting with the preparation of 2D and 3D design deliverables using CAD software
• Utilising engineering specifications and standards to performing design tasks
• Support Designers and Discipline Engineering with design preparation
• Communicate with the project team, provide updates, raise issues and attend team meetings where required

Skills/Qualifications:

• A relevant TAFE qualification (Cert IV or above) in Engineering, Design, Drafting or similar
• Experience with SolidEdge and AutoCAD is desirable but not essential
• Strong desire to build a career as a draftsperson/designer
• Ability to work in a fast paced, dynamic environment
