The Opportunity:

With multiple projects underway and continued growth across Australia, we're looking for a construction experienced Senior Safety Advisor to join our high-performing Safety Team.

Reporting directly to the project leadership team, you'll play a critical role in supporting the safe delivery of construction projects. Working closely with Construction Managers, Supervisors, Contractors and frontline personnel, you'll be a visible safety leader who drives a proactive safety culture and ensures critical risks are effectively managed.

 

This is an opportunity to make a genuine impact on project outcomes while enjoying a balanced 2:2 roster and a supportive team environment.

 

A typical day will consist of:

 

As a trusted safety professional, you'll:

  • Lead site inductions, training programs and competency verification activities.
  • Champion a positive and proactive safety culture through visible leadership in the field.
  • Conduct workplace inspections, audits and critical control verifications.
  • Facilitate incident investigations, identifying root causes and ensuring corrective actions are effectively implemented and closed out.
  • Review and strengthen SWMS, risk assessments and critical risk management processes.
  • Deliver engaging toolbox talks, pre-start meetings and safety interactions.
  • Monitor HSE performance metrics and provide meaningful reporting to support decision-making.
  • Drive continuous improvement by identifying opportunities to enhance safety systems and site performance.
  • Support project teams in achieving compliance with company and legislative requirements.

 

About You:

We're seeking an experienced WHS professional who enjoys being hands-on, building relationships and influencing positive safety outcomes.

 

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • Experience within mining, construction, infrastructure or major project environments, including brownfield and greenfield projects.
  • Certificate IV in Work Health and Safety (or equivalent).
  • Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE).
  • ICAM Investigation Training.
  • Sound understanding of NSW WHS legislation.
  • Construction White Card.
  • Current Australian Driver's Licence.
  • Full and unrestricted Australian working rights.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Confidence to influence and coach leaders, contractors and work crews.
  • Excellent investigation, risk management and problem-solving capabilities.
  • A practical, collaborative approach with a strong field presence.
  • A genuine passion for protecting people and improving workplace safety.
  • Located in NSW
