GR Engineering Services Limited (GRES) specialises in providing high quality engineering design and construction services to the mining and mineral processing industries.  Our services cover all aspects of a project life cycle from the initial evaluation and study phase through to design, constructions, commissioning and operational support.

We are currently seeking a Quality Coordinator (IMS) to join our growing Ascot quality team.

Reporting to the Quality Manager-Quality and Business Improvement, the successful candidate will be responsible for providing administrative and quality assurance support and training for the integrated management system and corporate quality system.

The suitable applicant would be responsible for : (but not limited to ) 

  • Ensuring that all Management system documentation processes are maintained
  • Managing the relevant quality management systems registers and tracking tools
  • Administration of the quality assurance systems
  • Providing training in the adherence of the Management system
  • Coordination and reporting on the status of quality assurance metrics
  • Conducting internal audits
  • Preparing project documentation
  • Implement and continually improve the project administration management system including the:
    • Compiling project reports (as required) including the Daily, Weekly and Progress Reports
    • Compiling and reporting on construction quality records including the Inspection and test plans (ITP), Field inspection reports (FIR) and manufacturers data requirements (MDR)
    • Project filing system structure and document and drawing control systems
    • Project goods receipt processes
    • Project site registers including site man-hours, personnel timesheets, site contacts, fuel consumption, equipment hire, petty cash, site instructions and Day works
    • Material management systems
    • Management of mobilization and accommodation bookings for all site-based personnel
    • Management of personnel clothing and office consumables
    • Construction templates and forms
    • Lessons Learnt and Project close out processes
  • Assisting Project Managers and Engineers in the development of project specific management plans, ITPs and quality control templates
  • Providing support and training for project site administration and site supervision including the development of training and information packs
  • Assist in the development of the Project Manufacturing Data Reports (MDR)

The successful candidate will require the following skills and qualifications:

  • Experience using and administrating compliance systems
  • TAFE or Tertiary qualifications in Quality WHS Management Systems (desirable)
  • ISO 9001 and ISO 45001 Lead auditor (desirable)
  • Technical writing skills (desirable)
  • Experience in managing quality incidences, non-conformances, investigations, and deviations
  • High level of knowledge in Microsoft Office software
  • Understanding of SharePoint, SQL databases, Microsoft Forms (or equivalent), Power Query and Power Automate
  • Skills in formal Document Management system or equivalent (eDocs/iManage)
  • Logical and measured approach and ability to prioritise allocated work
  • Ability to negotiate and resolve conflicts with confidence
  • Minimum 10 years working with engineering/construction industries in project administration
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail
  • High level communication and training skills
  • High level of organisational skills
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritise competing deadlines.
