GR Engineering Services Limited (GRES) specialises in providing high quality engineering design and construction services to the mining and mineral processing industry.  Our services cover all aspects of a project life cycle from the initial evaluation and study phases through to design, construction, commissioning and operational support.

We are currently seeking applications from Senior Study Managers to join our growing office team based in the Brisbane CBD.

As a Senior Study Manager reporting directly to the Manager – Project Development, you will be responsible for delivering a wide range of feasibility studies from scoping, pre-feasibility to definitive.

Our current workload includes projects from traditional metals such as gold and base metals to the more complex battery mineral projects e.g. Lithium, graphite etc. and includes locations across the world.  This role will be responsible for coordinating a multi-discipline team with full accountability across the quality, budget, schedule and risk management of the study execution works.

Key Responsibilities of the role:

• Manage and administrate the undertaking of feasibility study work
• Managing the progress of deliverables for each study
• Overseeing discipline engineering works as required
• Organising Peer Review activities at the appropriate juncture in the study works
• Ensuring design standards are followed
• Quality management and study report preparation
• Client relationship management and fostering good team relations

Skills/Qualifications:

• Tertiary engineering qualification or similar
• At least 10+ years’ experience in a similar role (Lead Process/Study Engineer or Study Manager)
• Strong communication skills (oral and written) and the ability to establish effective working relationships with a variety of people at different levels both internally and externally
• Knowledge and experience in the development of feasibility studies in the mining and mineral processing industry
• Previous experience working in an operations environment or client/owners team
• Knowledge of the JORC and NI-43-101 systems and the normally accepted estimating methodology and guidelines applied into minerals and mining projects
• Strong skills in MS Office (Word, Excel, Power point and Publisher)
• Must be client focused, team oriented, accountable and results driven
