About Us:

GR Engineering Services Limited (GRES) is a leading process engineering consulting and contracting company that specialises in providing high quality engineering design and construction services to the mining and mineral processing industries.

The Opportunity

We are currently seeking an experienced Senior Piping Designer to join our growing office team based in Brisbane QLD 

Reporting to the Drawing Office Manager, you will play an integral role in the design of wet and dry mineral process plants and bulk material handling projects.

Based out of our Brisbane CBD office you would work on various projects across Australia across a variety of commodities ( gold ,copper, iron ore etc) 

Your typical day will consist of:

• Lead piping design efforts for large-scale EPC projects from conception to completion
• Produce models and detailed technical drawings, in accordance with standards, policies and procedures
• Communicate with the project team, provide updates, raise issues and attend team meetings
• Coordinate with the design and engineering teams to ensure designs are accurate, feasible and meet project requirements
• Deliver and contribute to practical solutions
• Provide technical guidance and leadership to junior team members
• Develop piping layouts and detailed drawings based on project requirements and specifications
• Ensure the quality of deliverables in line with the relevant codes and standards, needs of the customer and regulatory authorities

About you :

• At least 10 years of multi-discipline experience in piping design and drafting within the EPC environment
• Proficient in the design layout of mineral processing plants
• Advance diploma or equivalent in Engineering is desirable
• Experience with SolidEdge, SolidWorks or Inventor is desirable
• Ability to handle priorities and tasks with accuracy and excellent attention to detail
• Demonstrate high level communication and problem solving skills
• Full & unrestricted Australian working rights - no sponsorship avaliable and applicants MUST reside in Australia
