GR Engineering Services Limited (GRES) is a leading process engineering consulting and contracting company that specialises in providing high quality engineering design and construction services to the mining and mineral processing industries.

The Opportunity

We are on the lookout for an experienced Senior Mechancial Engineer to join our Engineering Team working alongside a multidisciplined team to deliver outstanding results across various projects in the mining and minerals industry

Based out of our Brisbane CBD office you would work on various projects across Australia across a variety of commodities ( gold ,copper, iron ore etc) primarily in our Brisbane office but there would be some site visits depending on project requirements 

Your typical day will consist of:

  • Ensuring all mechanical engineering work complies with statutory and regulatory requirements and company policies and practices
  • Ensuring Project conformity with regards to safety, environmental and quality issues
  • Preparing and reviewing preliminary and detailed designs for Mechanical engineering project work and ensure compliance with conditions and parameters set out in project scope of work
  • Lead the designated design engineering and drafting team to achieve project goals within time and budget constraints
  • Preparing documentation standards, procedures, safe working practices and monitoring regimes in respect of work on or around engineering projects
  • Technical review of tender documentation for projects so that project objectives (schedule and performance) are achieved
  • Preparing maintenance planning data for all project fixed plant and infrastructure items covered by the project design scope

About you :

  • Relevant engineering qualifications and minimum 8 years professional experience in Mechanical engineering
  • Demonstrated knowledge in mineral processing and materials handling environment
  • Knowledge of current engineering design and standards
  • Ability to execute the design process in conjunction with all relevant disciplines and ensure design coordination of any multi-disciplined activities
  • Be proficient with relevant engineering software used within the organisation, particularly excel, word and computer aided drafting tools.
  • Ability to handle priorities and tasks with accuracy and excellent attention to detail
  • Demonstrate high level communication and problem solving skills
  • Full & unrestricted Australian working rights - no sponsorship avaliable and applicants MUST reside in Australia
